Student Reviews

#1 Semester 2 2023

I would recommend LAW4132 as it's very easy and practical content, all the content is written on the slides so you don't need to do much work while listening to the lectures and you definitely don't need to do the readings. The in-semester assessments were 4x 10-mark quizzes across the semester (most multiple-choice or true/false questions with one minimum wage calculation question in the first quiz). I got 39/40 on these quizzes having not attended any lectures (only watching the recordings) and not doing any of the readings at all. A huge WAM-boosting subject in my opinion, but perhaps only if you have an actual interest in the content.

#2 Semester 1 2020

The content is super interesting and it is not time-consuming during semester because the assessment is Moodle quizzes (multiple-choice). It can be difficult when exam time comes, because there are no tutorials and not too much guidance in terms of how to answer problem questions on the exam.

#3 Semester 1 2019

The content was really interesting and very practical for all students in learning about their rights in their own careers/jobs. However, I found the structure of the unit to be very messy and it often jumped around. The lecture slides were very comprehensive, however topics jumped between each other and information was spread across all different weeks. This made writing summary notes a huge but necessary task.
