The experience is so rewarding as you actually get to immerse yourself in the field of law you complete your placement in. I completed my placement at JobWatch, and the experience you get is fully hands-on, with direct application of the law. The work you do is basically the same as issue spotting in problem-based law exam questions (but in real life)! Whilst I cannot say for other clinics/placement locations, however, it would be wise to be prepared to be constantly client-facing, and knowing how to de-escalate with distressed clients.
