PLEASE COMMENT ON THE CONTENT OF THIS UNIT.
The unit content was very broad. Each week had its own exploration of AI in a particular area (e.g. criminal, human rights, access to justice, and so on). The only classes where two two hour lectures this week, which you did not really need to attend only if the relevant lecture topic was relevant to your assignment topic. The readings were very helpful and you could be very selective about what you deemed relevant. You could have realistically done all of the readings/pre-lecture videos within several days.
WHAT WORKED WELL IN THIS UNIT, AND WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED?
The level of flexibility this unit gave was fantastic! You picked a desired area of interest and got to write an assignment on any topic you wanted. This unit would be improved by just a little more structure. You often felt very unsure about what you were doing due to how little guidance you had. Also, the first two assessments which were a group presentation and a write up of the presentation could have been better explained. It was just very unclear what the CE wanted from you.
IS THERE A PRESCRIBED TEXTBOOK?
N/A
WHAT UNITS SHARES THE DIFFICULTY LEVEL OF THE UNIT YOU ARE REVIEWING?

ANY UNITS THAT WOULD PAIR WELL WITH THIS UNIT?
This unit is ideal to pair with a harder subject. Since the final assignment is due in week 10 it clears the path for you to focus on harder subjects prior to exams.
HOW WOULD YOU RATE THE QUALITY OF THE UNIT?
Excellent.
TIPS FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS:
If you already have a rough idea about an area concerning AI that you would like to research this will serve you well in the unit. The best case scenario is that you already have a rough final essay topic within the first week and just chip a way at it.
